Mons Mons is in the Provincial Capital of Hainaut (Henegouwen, Hennegau) and has a population of about 92,000.

Every year on Holy Trinity Sunday the 'Chariot of Gold' (St Waudru' Coach) is used in the procession for the Ducasse where trade guilds parade reliquaries and statues. Immediately following the Ducasse is the Lumecon which portrays the slaying of the Dragon by St George.
