Situated midway between Ascain and Sare at the Col de Saint Ignace, Le Petit Train de la Rhune climbs 905 metres to the summit of La Rhune for spectacular views over France and Spain (the more energetic can always walk to the summit on foot). The border actually crosses the summit. 

Open every day from the middle of March to the middle of November. Worth checking weather forecast first to ensure good views.
